DIRECTOR – Mr Iroko James Denapo

Mr. Iroko James Denapo was born on 10th September, 1958 to the family of Mr. & Mrs. W. Iroko at Vatipa, in Ipokia Local Government in Ogun State.

He attended Methodist Primary School, Bode-Ase (1966 – 1973) and Alamuwa Grammar School, Ado-Odo for his Secondary School Education (1973 – 1978). He there after proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University (1980 – 1984) where he obtained Bachelor of Science Education in Economics.  His quest for more knowledge took him to University of Lagos, Akoka (1985 – 1986) where he obtained Master of Education in Educational Administration and Planning.

Mr. Iroko’s teaching career commenced in Unity Secondary School, Tolu Schools Complex, Olodi-Apapa where he taught Economics (1990 – 1993).  He was later re-deployed to National College, Gbagada in Somolu (1993 – 1995) and later to Muslim College, Oworonsoki in April, 1995.

While at Muslim College, he won the best Teacher of the year Award for two consecutive academic sessions (1996 – 1997).

Mr. Iroko’s dedication to duty earned him redeployment to the personnel section of the defunct PP-TESCOM Kosofe Zonal Office at Maryland in 2004 where he worked till the creation of the Educational Districts in August 2005.  He has since been attending seminars, workshops and conferences both at home and abroad to improve in his chosen profession.

Mr. Iroko J. D. is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).

He won the Best Senior Staff Award of the District in 2007 and best Senior Staff Award at the State Level in 2012.

He is a Director and his current schedule of duty include: Head of Division (Learning and Development) in Administration and Human Resources Department of the District.  He supervises Promotion, Training and Conversion/Confirmation Units.

He is happily married and blessed with children.
