DIRECTOR – Fashanu, (Mrs)Abosede Karimot

Mrs. Fashanu Abosede Karimot was born on the 13th August, 1960 to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Raufu Arogundade.

She attended Our Lady of Apostles Primary School, Yaba (1964 – 1971), and Ansar-ud-deen Girls High School, Itire – Surulere for her Secondary education (1971 – 1976).

She thereafter proceeded to the University of Lagos (UNILAG), where she obtained her    B.Sc (Hons.) degree  in English Language in t 1983. Her Post Graduate Degree Education (PGDE) in 1992 and her Master ’s Degree (M.Ed.) in 1998.

On 10th August, 1984 she got her first appointment into the Lagos State Government Teaching Service Commission as a teacher and was posted to Gaskiya College, Ijora – Badiya, Lagos State as a class room teacher.

In 1991 she was redeployed to the defunct Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), where she worked till 2005, before she was later redeployed to Education District II, Maryland Schools Complex, Maryland.

While at Education District II, Maryland she was posted to the Inspectorate Department now Quality Assurance Department. In 2009 she was moved to Personnel Department now Administration and Human Resources Department.

Presently she’s a Director of Education on Salary Grade Level 17.

By dint of hard-work, exemplary leadership and result oriented office management; Mrs. Fashanu Abosede Karimot was made the Head of Co-Curricular, Science and Technology Department

at Education District II, Maryland.

She is a member of Nigerian Union of Teachers.

She loves dancing, cooking and reading.
